The Most Amazingly Delicious Cookie Bar! ~ Chocolate Chips - Dried Fruits - Nuts Cookie Bar

Before I start blogging about these yummy cookie bars, let me warn you. . . they are Addictive!
These are just the most delicious yummy amazing .... you can put any word... cookie bars. And they are so easy to make! And the best of all you can customize them to your taste preference. Only be sure to use the star ingredient - Condensed Milk. Yup! This is what brings all the layers together and makes it absolutely delicious.
The base of the cookie bar is basically crumbs from crackers. And you top it up with nuts / chocolate chips/ dried fruits of your choice. Drizzle the start ingredient and pop it into the oven for 30 min. Taa -daa you have just baked an awesome dessert! Now to treat yourself for such hard work, dig in! ;)

I have made this before and it was a super duper hit. I am visiting a friend today evening and thought would give this a shot. These yummies make great holiday gifts when beautifully wrapped.


Here goes the recipe:

Makes - 25 pieces ( 12X12 pan / 9X13 pan)
Ingredients Required:
Graham Crackers Crumbs - 2 cups (See Notes)
Butter - 4 tblsp
Oil - 1 tblsp
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Dried Fruits - 3/4 cup ( I have used Raisins and Craisins)
Nuts - 3/4 cup ( I have used Almonds and Walnuts)
Chocolate Chips - 3/4 cup
Condensed Milk - 1 can

How to make?
Pre heat an oven to 350.
If you have ready made graham cracker crumbs, then take that in a mixing bowl. Else pulse the graham crackers in a food processor till they are powdery.
Add the crumbs to the mixing bowl.
Melt the butter in a microwave.
Add the butter, oil and vanilla essence to the crumbs and mix well till dry sand consistency is formed.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Press the crumb mixture on the baking sheet with your finger tips, until evenly spread out.
Top it with chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruits.
Drizzle condensed milk. Make sure it is evenly spread out.
Bake for 30 minutes, until the top is light brown and bubbly.
Cool completely. Else pop it in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Slice into squares and store covered.


Notes:
If you do not have Graham Crackers, you can use Marie Biscuits, Milk Bikies Biscuits or any other sweet/ neutral taste crackers. I have tried it and it tastes the same.
You can use your choice of nuts and dried fruits. There is no hard and fast rule.
You can add sweetened coconut flakes.
You can add different flavored chocolate chips.
