Moong Dhal Sundal


Ingredients Required:
Moong Dhal - 1 Cup
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Urad Dhal - 1 tsp
Hing - pinch
Fresh grated coconut - 2 tblspn
Green Chilli - 1, slit
Salt to taste
Oil

How to make?
As Moong Dhal cooks very fast, no prior soaking is required.
Boil 3 cups of water with salt, when the water comes to boil, add the dhal. Cook for roughly 5 to 7 minutes, and check whether the dhal is cooked. Do not over cook the dhal as it would become mushy.
Drain the water and set aside.
Heat little oil in a pan, and add mustard seeds, allow to splutter.
Add green chilli,curry leaves,hing and urad dhal, fry for a minute.
Add the cooked dhal, toss few times.
Top it up with the fresh grated coconut and mix well.
