Channa Dhal Sundal


Ingredients Required:
Channa Dhal - 1 Cup
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Urad Dhal - 1 tsp
Hing - pinch
Ginger - 1 tsp
Fresh grated coconut - 2 tblspn
Green Chilli - 1, slit
Salt to taste
Oil
How to make?
Soak the channa dhal for 45 minutes.
Boil 3 cups of water with salt, when the water comes to boil, add the dhal. Cook for roughly 20 minutes, and check whether the dhal is cooked. Do not over cook the dhal as it would become mushy.
Drain the water and set aside.
Heat little oil in a pan, and add mustard seeds, allow to splutter.
Add green chilli,ginger, curry leaves,hing and urad dhal, fry for a minute.
Add the cooked dhal, toss few times.
Top it up with the fresh grated coconut and mix well.
