Black Channa Spicy Sundal/ Karupu Kadala Masala Sundal


Ingredients Required:
Black Channa - 1 Cup
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Urad Dhal - 1 tsp
Hing - pinch
Curry Leaves - few
Salt to taste
Oil

For roasting and grinding:
Coriander Seeds - 1 tsp
Channa Dal - 1 tsp
Coconut scrapes - 2 tblspn
Red Chilli - 3

How to make?
Soak the channa in water for 10 - 12 hours.
Roast the ingredients under the 'Roasting and Grinding' section and grind them to a powder and set aside. Add the coconut in the last and roast for few seconds only else it would burn.
Pressure cook the sundal for upto 2 whistles, make sure not to over cook them else theyw ould become mushy.
Take a pan, heat a tsp of oil, add the mustard seeds and allow to splutter. Add the urad dhal, curry leaves and hing.
Add the cooked sundal and give a good toss.
Add the masala powder, salt and mix well.
