Methi Masala Dhal


Serves 2
Ingredients Required:
Methi Leaves - 1 bunch
Tomato - 1
Onion - 1/2
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Toor Dhal - 1/2 Cup
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Green Chilli - 1, chopped
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Hing - pinch
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Oil
How to make?
Pressure cook the toor dhal and set aside.
Soak the methi leaves in water along with a pinch of salt for 10 minutes so the bitterness is gone. Drain the water and set the methi leaves aside.
In a pan, heat a little oil and when hot, add the cumin seeds, and allow to splutter.
Add the ginger garlic paste, chopped onion and fry till the onions are golden brown.
Add the chopped tomatoes and fry till the tomatoes are cooked and add the methi leaves.
Add the salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix well and cook for couple of minutes.
Add the cooked dhal give a final mix and serve hot with rice or Indian Bread.
