Sri Rama Navami

Sri Rama Navami is a festival celebrating the birth of Lord Rama.
Recipes for this festival is the simplest of all and can be made in a jiffy.

Recipes:
Neer More

Ingredients Required:
Curd  - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Salt - pinch
Cilantro - few springs
Hing - pinch

How to make?
Blend all the ingredients together.


Paanagam

Ingredients Required:
Water - 2 cups
Jaggery - 3 tblsp
Ginger Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cardamon - 1/4 tsp

How to make?
Dissolve the jaggery in warm water and mix in the ginger powder and cardamon.

Vada Paruppu

Ingredients Required:
Moong Dhal - 1/4 cup
Cucumber - 1, chopped
Cilantro - few springs
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Salt - pinch

How to make?
Soak the moong dhal in water for an hour.
Drain the water and mix with the chopped cucumber, cilantro and salt.
Mix with lemon juice.

Tip:
Shredded mango can also be added to this, but I could not get Mango here so had to skip it.

These are the 3 main dishes which is offered to lord Rama on this day.
I made Milk Payasam along with the above. This is optional.
