Tomato Pachadi

Is tomato a fruit or a vegetable? Well this is a well debated upon topic...
Whatever it is, I love tomatoes in any form. And one of my favorite is the tomato pachadi which my mom used to make. Here goes the recipe...

Serves 2
Ingredients Required:
Tomato - 2, chopped
Curd - 1 cup, beaten
Salt -to taste
Green Chilli - 2,  slit lengthwise
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad Dhal - 1 tsp
Channa Dhal - 1 tsp
Hing - pinch
Sugar - 1 tsp
Cilantro - few springs

How to make?
Heat little oil in a pan, and add the mustard seeds and allow to splutter.
Add the urad dhal and hing. Fry till the dhal is golden in color.
Add the tomatoes and green chilli. Cook till the raw smell of tomato goes for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Tranfer to a bowl and allow to cool.
Add the curd, salt and sugar and mix well.
Garnish with chopped cilantro.
Serve chilled.
I like this best with sambhar rice and also love it when taken alone :)
