Guacamole Dip

Guacamole is a Mexican dip made from ripe avocados. The secret to a delicious guacamole is the ripeness of the avocado. It should neither be too raw nor too ripe. Gently press the avocado, if it is too hard then the avocado is too raw, if it is too soft then it is too ripe. If you can press a little bit then the avocado is just correct for the guacamole.

Serves 3 - 4
Ingredients Required:
Ripe Avocado - 2
Onion - 1/2, chopped
Tomato - 1, chopped
Sereno Pepper - 1, chopped
Ground Black Pepper - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cilantro - few springs
Lemon juice - 1 tbl.sp

How to make?
Peel the avocado, cut in half and remove the seeds.
Mash the pulp in a mixing bowl.
Add the chopped tomato, onion and sereno pepper and mix well.
Sprinkle the ground pepper and salt and garnish with cilantro and add the lemon juice.
Mix the dip well and cover the bowl.
Refrigerate for an hour so the flavor blends in.
Serve with tortilla or it can also be used as a filling in burritos.

Tip:
Salsa can also be add to the dip instead of tomato.
Sour cream, cottage cheese may also be added for a creamier guacamole.
